Construction Progress - March 2022

The month of March brings many significant milestones to Aflora’s construction progress. Earlier this month we cast the walls and structure for our colossal communal pool and began testing the state-of-the-art fiber optic lighting system that will enchant residents with an ethereal ambience after sundown.

As our Magic Apartment Towers progress we are starting to see material shortages affecting certain areas of work. Delays in the delivery of additives, metals, and components for heavy machinery have manifested delays in structural areas of upper levels. We are working to recover lost time by initiating interior-preparations for fixtures and finishes on lower floors as upper-level structures are underway. With lower levels completed we are able to trace the locations of lighting, switches, installations, and furniture in order to optimize designs and verify placements. We have finished all Garden House pools and successfully tested all hydraulic cement structures for impermeability.

The structure of our Loft Village and first Luxury Villa are all but finished as we transition efforts to focus on interiors. With constant site-visits from our design team at B-Huber, we begin the final selections of material and finishes. Our commitment to locally-sourced and Mexican-made productshas thankfully insulated us against the rampant shortages and price volatility that has occurred in the past year on the global market. By utilizing woods and stones found locally, we are also able to reduce the carbon impact of the entire operation.
