Life in Aflora

We are excited to wish our beloved community a very happy New Year as we enter into 2024. Winter in Tulum brings the festivities of the high season, pristine beach days, and a plethora of vibrant migratory birds. As we embark together in this new year, we give special thanks to our community members whose patience and dedication to our shared-dream have been paramount in the success of our vision.

We are thrilled to invite you all to our Valentine's Day celebration in PANZA, our unique onsite eatery, featuring a 5-course prefix seasonal-menu and decadent signature dessert. Construction Progress

We appreciate your patience as we transition our Construction Supervision Team to an in-house operation to avoid further delays and inconsistencies. We are confident that this change will ensure punctual results by streamlining informational processes.

We will be providing updated status reports in the coming month.

Green Initiative

As we deliver additional common areas and amenities, our landscaping team is already working to reforest green spaces with trees, palms, and plants, many of which have been relocated and rehabilitated from affected construction areas.

By landscaping Aflora with native vegetation, we are greatly reducing our demand for irrigation and maintenance, while preserving the delicate balance of the endemic ecosystem of Tulum.

Community News

A new museum in the Jaguar Park has reached 80% completion. Administered by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) and focused on highlighting the regional influence of Maya culture, the complex will consist of three exhibition rooms and house over 360 artifacts.

This new attraction, which is located in front of the main entrance to the archaeological zone of Tulum, will officially open to the public in February or March of 2024.

Also this month, Tulum Mayor Diego Castañón announced that the City Council is considering bypass plans for an airport road due to the increase in traffic.

Tulum municipal authorities are discussing the idea with the state government that could see an alternate route so Tulum Airport traffic does not go through the town. The proposed bypass would link motorists through a road to the International Airport with the Maya Train and the Jaguar Park.
