Work in progress - July 2023

The community continues to grow as we welcome new residents and investors into their new homes. We are are pleased to report significant advances in common areas and future residential phases as well as progress in launching our onsite operations. Seasonal rains and natural irrigation have aided the explosive growth of our native landscaping as we begin to integrate sculptures and erect raised stone planters in our verdant green areas.

We have begun to install the final facades on our apartment towers as their interiors near completion. Work behind the scenes has also begun for the operations of AFLORA amenities and hospitality programming. We are diligently testing all kitchen equipment in our onsite restaurant PANZA and beginning menu design and preliminary staffing.

Our one-of-a-kind Bathhouse & Spa, which has proven to be a unique engineering challenge due to its curvature and proximity to surrounding water, is finally seeing steady progress as we complete the iconic cylindrical forms that will serve as the structure for its stone-clad exterior. The natural lagoon areas have benefited from the addition of a stunning waterfall and are now crystalline and clear, awaiting their final detailing after construction concludes.

Green Initiative

We are happy to receive news that over 200 traditional mayan homes have been retrofitted with ecological stoves through donations as part of an ongoing program to eliminate the use of open and unventilated wood burning practices.

These stoves are not only more efficient but also work to ventilate toxic fumes that can cause permanent damage to repertory health. The efforts are part of a greater initiative by Soriana Fundación that aims to improved lives in the community while still respecting ancient traditions and cultures.
