 We are excited to see our community progress as future homes and amenities take their final form. With exterior finishes, windows, and final touches underway, the vision of Aflora comes to life thanks to the dedicated work and collaboration of countless teams and individuals.

With over 300 workers onsite daily we see the magic unfold when many hands work together toward a common goal. From our in-house engineers and supervisors to subcontractors from across the country, we are tremendously proud to be part of this great endeavor that will soon fulfill its purpose of a unique community in Tulum built around art & nature.

 

Construction progress

As we near the end of this year we are excited to take you in depth into our construction advances. Aflora is a multifaceted community, thus we will take you through each area of your future home in the jungle

Loft Village:

Construction progress - 84% Complete

  • Application of COREV (final exterior finish) on all facades

  • Finalizing waterproofing in upper areas and built-in gardens

Wellness Tower:

  • Lower level structure is complete

Frontal Sculptural Wall:

  • Created from solid concrete poured into handbuilt forms

Semi-Olympic Pool:

  • All preliminary works completed and tested

  • Awaiting the termination of construction to apply final EKOL finish to prevent accidental damage or wear.

 

Natural Pool

Construction progress - Undergoing Modifications 

  • Extended depth (up to 6 meters deep)

  • Natural circulation system to decrease maintenance costs

  • In-person direction of excavations from local experts in natural pools

 

Bathhouse & Spa

  • Modification of construction technique in response to soil conditions and surrounding water level

 
 

Green Initiative

This month we tripled the staff on our onsite gardening team in order to rehabilitate areas used for construction and central access. Utilizing transplants displaced from construction areas we carefully replace native vegetation to provide privacy and shade to amenities and residences. In the process of rehabilitation we utilize organic compost created onsite to assist in the recovery of preservation areas.

 

We have also made significant progress this month on the preparations for our massive photovoltaic solar system that will be located on top of the Loft Village, providing electricity to all of Aflora’s common areas and amenities. Additionally Luxury Villa owners are able to integrate individual solar systems to offset personal usage. 

Community News

With Tulum’s new sound ordinances in place, beach hotels are experiencing higher occupancy rates as well as some much-needed peace and quiet. Regulatory equipment and enforcement has been implemented throughout the entire beach hotel zone. This is a large win for Tulum’s Hotel Association which has been fighting for greater regulation in order to protect the delicate ecosystem and preserve Tulum’s image.

 

We have seen significant advances this month on Tulum’s new Jaguar National Park. This new nature preserve will include bike paths, walking trails, and over one thousand hectares of protected areas. This is an exciting step in the preservation of Tulum’s ecosystem which has been under recent stress due to the explosive demand in tourism in the region.

 

As we move into the holiday season, we   give special thanks to our longtime supporters and early investors whose belief in Aflora has elevated us to where we are today. We are working diligently alongside our Post Sales Team to streamline legal closing processes and ensure each unit delivery is handled with the utmost care.
