Green Initiative
Within the month of September 5,500 various trees were planted throughout 11 municipalities in the state of Quintana Roo as part of a joint effort from the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), who dug the holes, and the Quintana Roo Youth Institute and CAPA who helped to water them.
We are excited to witness the wide-ranging participation in the tree planting program with volunteers ranging from citizens, students, civil associations as well as municipal, state and federal government employees.
Community News
With major improvements underway in the Municipality of Tulum, we are happy to receive reports that the Potable Water and Sewerage Commission (CAPA) is over 50% finished in carrying out the replacement of a potable water conduction line on Coba Sur Avenue in the city of Tulum.
The replacement is being done to keep up with the demand of the growing city. The goal of the project is to build 1,257 linear meters of pipes of different diameters on Cobá Sur Avenue with its existing derivations, as well as the installation of sectioning valves and their boxes, to guarantee the correct operation of the line. This new infrastructure is valued at a total cost of 5.1 million pesos and will benefit 3,733 residents.
